It's a great opportunity to meet other people who are living in the different countries and different cultures. And it's very nice for the web submit team, the organization team. Web Summit is not only a reference in content for the technology innovation segment, but also an example of execution, everything runs so smoothly for an event of around 70,000 people. For speakers, it's a super experience. There is all the separate setup of support, for the catering and for participants. Also very good logistics as well as unmissable speakers, of course in content. One of the not to miss events every year.

A wonderful crowd of tech founders and enthusiasts
What did you like best about the event?
A well organised event with great people. Made lots of great connections with people I wouldn't typically get a chance to meet in London.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
More interactivity with the audience would have been nice but understand it's not always possible.

Comprehensive, great speaker organization and support, and an abundance of great startups and speakers.

Very good experience
What did you like best about the event?
Night Summit was really fun. Especially having it at different venues. The overall conference was very well organized except for the long queues.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Sell fewer tickets. Tickets were definitely oversold. There were long lines for everything. The opening night and night summit reached capacity and people turned back. Not fair.

It was a wonderful experience!! I would say the best technology I have ever attended so far!!
What did you like best about the event?
Both morning and evening events were well arranged and organized. The planning for the entire event was cohesive.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Most folks were not seeing the chats on the app or were not responding to them. If the app can be tweaked in such ways that collaboration increases, it would be great.

Excellent at networking and watching the innovation approaches in all industries.
What did you like best about the event?
The organization and venue were very good. The mood was perfect for networking. Really nice to watch the talks in the App. Some country stands had good initiatives such as Germany and Austria.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Startup stands were just there for one day. The night summit was fun but not as good for networking as advertised. The food price was a little bit expensive. More seat-to-seat in startup showcases would be good.

Startup showcase pitch sessions were good, and the speaker Anne Gaviola connected well with the startups.

Venue was really good. It was excellent for networking and especially to watch the innovation approaches in all industries through the start up categories. Then some country stands were really good. For example, Austria had a pit stop, an F-one pit stop and you are able to do the pit stop. Then the talks, we had many, many talks and then instead of missing them, you could watch them afterward in the app. Night Summit was also fun.

Chaotic but effective.

Networking with like-minded people and potential investors. A lot of startup founders.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The event app was a disaster. Hire some UX experts to run workshops and research with your attendees/ customers. Improve stability and scalability.

A few fun days with some networking opportunities backstage. It was great that the forum was always stocked with food and water, felt very looked after.
What did you like best about the event?
The networking at the Forum and the way everything was organized. It felt massive and it felt like you could hear a lot about everything around you.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Better signage and maybe bigger computers to hold the presentations of speakers (not laptops with little RAM) as a few of the speaker's slides didn't load with big videos.

The summit was a good opportunity to meet new people and learn new tech and new products in the market.

Make a new plan to maintain entrance and exit, had to walk a long way. That made it very difficult.

A great event for lead generation at the enterprise level.

The amount of sales meetings we had. The attendees are mostly enterprise-level companies.

One of the greatest experiences in Europe to be able to showcase your startup, connect with the entrepreneurship ecosystem, and meet investors, mentors, startups, and partners while having fun and enjoying Lisbon!

The Startup Pitch competition, because it gave us the opportunity to validate our value proposition, and get to know the ecosystem, market, and investors.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Give more opportunities to match up with investors. Not only gives the investors the power to decide whom they want to meet but also the startups.

What did you like best about the event?
Very well organized, had a real buzz about the place, and had lots of great content. It's a huge event but it gets easier to navigate each year.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
There should be fewer talks but they should last long. 10 or 15 minutes is not enough time to get into a topic.

What did you like best about the event?
The variety of content, the level of speakers, and overall smooth organization. The app was great for connecting, setting up meetings, and locating yourself, stages, and stands.

Great networking opportunity for journalists.
What did you like best about the event?
The event was well orchestrated with plenty of meeting spaces, good food options, and a spacious lounge area for speakers. Support with arranging meetings was very useful.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The main thing from a journalist’s perspective is the quality of interviews, which for me is all about big names. For obvious reasons, that was more challenging this year, but it would be a big factor in whether or not I would come back.

Very cool networking opportunity.
What did you like best about the event?
There were a huge amount of interesting companies to meet. I met a lot of people and made connections with them.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I liked a lot the SMAU "Startup Safary" system that allows corporate owners and investors to be guided towards the most interesting companies for them. Think about copying that.
