I really enjoyed tech barbecue because all of the interactions I had felt very organic and that was very different for a tech conference. You could say I didn't feel like I was being constantly pitched to, I just felt like I was connecting with people on a human level. And that was very, a very big differentiator.

Hey, I really enjoyed being at tech barbecue 2022. The venue was really spacious and it was easy to move around and network with people. So I can recommend going there. Absolutely.

It was informative and had a comprehensive lineup, though probably better suited for VCs and startups than journalists.
What did you like best about the event?
There was a reasonably wide variety of speakers and an excellent welcoming vibe. Attendees were easy to approach and keen to meet new people.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The catering could have been smoother. Lunch in the speaker's lounge seemed only to last an hour, which wasn't ideal for speakers with other engagements, and food ran out outside. It could also be more tailored to journalists by including more big-picture talks and events if you want to attract more journalists.

Great event if looking for investments
What did you like best about the event?
There are so many venture capitalists and the opportunity to book meetings with them easily.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Better speakers, better content for talks. Also, hearing anything from the main stage was impossible—too much noise.

I enjoyed the idea of TechBBQueer. Listening to so many companies’ pitches for inspiration was also nice.

An amazing human experience
What did you like best about the event?
Made real human connections. People made an effort actually to get to know you. It didn't feel transactional.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Nothing major needs to change. But probably have separate days and different events.

I was a speaker providing value to the audience, but I got so much weight from my interactions during the event. These interactions will also affect me after the event.
What did you like best about the event?
It felt organic; it was exceptionally well organized. I felt valued as a speaker even though I wasn't on the big stage. I made great connections that will have a lasting impact.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
You all did an amazing job. Honestly, I am not sure there is anything major I would improve. My session in the garden tent didn't have a remote to click through my slides, so we had to have someone on the side control the falls at the last minute. The team accommodated us very well, so our session ran smoothly and was a success, but it would have been nice to have a better setup.

It was a great event but with a strong local feeling in terms of attendees.
What did you like best about the event?
I really liked the quality of the panels & speakers; the event venue and overall organization were really seamless.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Bring in more international attendees (especially at the investor level) and organize informal networking opportunities like thematic breakfasts or lunches.

Cozy and pleasant networking experience.
What did you like best about the event?
Most of all, I liked the venue and the organization of the event. I also liked some stage events.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
More free and broader access to water. And don't make "at least" limits in the survey.

It was very good, nice vibe and many interesting folks.
What did you like best about the event?
The ability to meet with people, the science part, and the side events were good—the parties.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
A bit more production to set the stage. Sound management, sometimes, it was hard to hear. I loved the outdoors.

It’s all about the people
What did you like best about the event?
What makes a great event? The people, and TechBBQ has the kindest, most thoughtful, and self aware.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Keep doing exactly what you’re doing. Communicate transparently, including clear expectations, including why people are there and their roles so TBBQ benefits, in kind.
