Open source summit has been a great place, an event to learn, collaborate and build network. One of the best things that I liked about the event was the immense knowledge across diverse domains, from containers to data, to security covering almost all major streams in open source and all these from veteran contributors in the industry.

Incredible, it was nice to see a big community
What did you like best about the event?
The fact that there were many small conferences inside the mail one (openness).
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The check-in was unclear; for example, people who bought a ticket to Openness had to go to another stand.

Excellent opportunity to meet the relevant community.
What did you like best about the event?
Some great sessions and hallway discussions. Also, there were plenty of networking opportunities.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The venue was very hard to navigate. It was also hard to purchase lunch in a timely manner. Perhaps more seating with ready-to-go lunch options would have helped. Also, I would have appreciated more time /space for discussions to follow up on some of the sessions (where they ran out of time for questions).

It's crucial to understand attendee numbers and audience much in advance accurately.
What did you like best about the event?
Networking with like-minded solution providers and the community was great. With that being said, there were a lot of sessions, and it felt as if most of it was very much directed at the developer audience.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Provide full and accurate insight on the number of tickets sold and in-person vs virtual. Also, due to the cancellation of several vendors, our booth location, which was carefully chosen, wasn't in a good enough spot. If we were made aware of such change, we should've been given (at minimum courtesy) notice of such changes.

What did you like best about the event?
One of the best things in the conference was the immense knowledge across diverse domains from containers to data to security - covering almost all major streams in open source. All these from veteran contributors from the industry.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
One of the things could be to have the sessions conducted in similar rooms - there was a huge disparity in some conference room sizes, facilities and creates an inherent bias for small portion of audience in that case to focus on these aspects rather than the content and speaker.

The best part was that folks coming together in the open-source community and interacting.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The venue directions could have been simpler - finding rooms was so hard and discouraged exploration.
