"First attendance at JuliaCon: overall positive experience"

Coming from having previous experience in international conferences in consolidated scientific areas and having seen from the outside JuliaCon as a meeting in a much more informal setting, I imagined something much more improvised. I was positively surprised by the meticulous organization of the event and the warmth of the Julia community.

"A place to meet great Julia language enthusiasts and even more!"

JuliaCon 2024 was an impressive showcase of the Julia programming language's versatility and vibrant community. The conference featured a diverse range of talks, from cutting-edge quantum computing applications to advancements in modern tensor computing infrastructure. A standout feature was the innovative live coding music performances, which blended technology and creativity in a unique way. The breadth of topics covered demonstrated Julia's growing influence across various scientific and technical domains. While the conference was enjoyable overall, attendees seeking a more in-depth focus on specific areas might have found the diverse program challenging to navigate. Nevertheless, JuliaCon 2024 successfully highlighted the language's potential and the enthusiasm of its user base, making it a worthwhile event for both Julia enthusiasts and those curious about its capabilities in scientific computing.

Overall, I had a really positive experience with Julia Con. It was my first Julia Con ever. But I think I would like to come back next year as well. I really appreciate giving me a chance to present my work in Julia. Although I'm a beginner, I would like to do more and more development in Julia and continue my work.

The construction at PSV stadium was too loud during the first day. Nothing more really.

I was positively surprised by the meticulous organization of the event and the warmth of the Julia community.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
There were some last minute changes in some talks and it didn't seem to be well communicated, but other than those details the event schedule and the system in general worked very well.
