I thought that G DC was a really fun event. I had a great time. It was my first time attending and, um, it was way more chilled out than I thought it was going to be way more relaxed. I had a really good time meeting people, um, interviewing, uh, interviewing people to see what they're working on. doing my talk was a lot of fun. it, it just had a really good vibe in general. I, I do feel like there was some, um, aspects could be improved a few times. Felt a little bit, a little bit odd and in fact, there's no bag check was a little bit odd as well. but otherwise I thought I had a great time at G DC and, um, I would definitely go to G DC 2024 especially if I could speak again.

Positive Experience at GDC
What did you like best about the event?
The overall vibe was charming, and it felt like a great place to meet and network with fellow developers; I met a bunch of people I enjoyed getting to know.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The lack of security was odd, especially for someone from outside the US. Realise bag checks aren't easy to implement, but something would have been nice to see.

Invaluable Technical Support and Passionate Staff Make GDC Unforgettable!
What did you like best about the event?
The staff at the event exhibited great enthusiasm and were highly supportive, and the technical support offered before and during the session proved crucial. The conference provides an excellent opportunity to connect with others. The Lunchtime Surgeries event at the Audio Summit was genuinely fantastic, and I would have appreciated it; I hope to find more sessions like this in the following editions!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
San Francisco has the potential to be very costly, and essential expenses can impact your trip significantly. As a speaker, I was given some meal tickets, but due to long waiting lines, I had to forfeit them.

Exciting to be back and meet more game devs from around the world.
What did you like best about the event?
I was thrilled to have been selected as a speaker this year, as it was a career goal of mine. It appears to have been well received! I also met an excellent new group of game devs from around the world.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
The line for checking vaccination status and health was very long. Perhaps having more volunteers able to go through more people or multiple locations doing the check could help. The event cost for your average game dev is also unattainable to most unless they have support from a studio (which I had the privilege of).

Overall great but some hiccups in management.
What did you like best about the event?
It was great to see it back again in person with total attendance. So good to see old colleagues and meet new people, and I learned something too. Also, I enjoyed my talk.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
I'm sure you'll hear this from others, but the health check line was a disaster. I liked that you required vaccination records/testing, but it felt like you had 20 people on registration and a bottleneck of 2 people on health. Why couldn't people upload their vaccination records when they applied for the conference? Or maybe have the registration desk check the documents at the same time they matched our driver's license? It was a big bummer for the first few days of the show. I missed a couple of sessions on/tues because I couldn't find two free hours to wait in line.

Tiring but inspiring
What did you like best about the event?
Meeting so many folks in person from prev. Only emails that I would never usually get the chance to!
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Something about the queue - it took us 2 hours to get in on Monday, and after a long flight, it was a hard 2 hours.

Enjoyable event marred with logistical issues.
What did you like best about the event?
Everything is within a walkable block. A broad range of speakers and features. Good facilities and security.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Improve COVID checks - explain what will happen, when, and why. Separate the check for collection of passes to prevent extremely long queues. Automate as much as possible.
