Black hat USA 2023

Overall, it was a great experience that I think the, the venue and how it provided opportunity for everyone to kind of connect, learn different things. get a, a global, get a a local regional experience, you know. it was really enjoyable, I think it was a great event. A lot of activities, a lot of great speakers, A lot of great presentations, the only downside or I say the negative would be, I think of having both the, the speaking sessions and the Expo hall on the same place. It made it very, very loud and sometimes it can be very hard to hear the speakers or if you're speaking or on a pat on the stage, it's very hard to hear each other. So I think that was the the only negative.

Blackhead is consistently the place to go to meet the most innovative founders and companies in cybersecurity 2022 was no different. We had a great time presenting our open source API security library. We got valuable feedback and we connected with customers partners and even competitors. It was really a great time.

This is my fifth time. I think attending Black Hat USA in person. And I'm really glad that the event is back after the pandemic and several years of primarily virtual attendance. Black Hat has always had a reputation of kind of being a grittier counterpart to RS A where hacker culture is alive and well, and there's a lot of Vegas nightlife and that is still true. The parties are excellent and I feel like there's a lot of kind of variation in and the attendees and their cultures and their backgrounds. I will say there was some bumps in the road this year in terms of logistics with registration and food. I will also note that I think Black Hat has a long ways to go in terms of increasing the diversity equity and inclusion among their speakers. But it's still a great event.

The conference was great and my presentation went really well on the really interesting question at the end and the, the atmosphere was right. I met many people, uh, with whom I would stay in touch.

The conference went great. About 70 K people arrived at the conference, there were many vendors as large as, as ever. And we've seen a lot of prospects and the potential for growth. I would recommend this, especially if you are tacky. So you're looking for the mix for mixing it up with the some talks and briefings. That will be a perfect combination for your buck.
