Consensus. 2023 was a lot of fun for me. I realized that this conference had a lot more to do with protocols, underlying infrastructures, specific blockchains and the scaling solutions that are really going to drive the industry forward. There were a lot of attendees there that worked in really interesting parts of the industry and had really valuable products to share with the world and it had a totally different vibe from a lot of the other conferences that seem a lot more focused on shilling kind of pump and dump type projects and the less glamorous parts of the industry really enjoyed the talks that I was able to listen to and plan on going back again in the future.

Consensus 2022 was an amazing time and an awesome, like, just a great time, networking, meeting, industry leaders. I do feel like if the event was not in the peak, Austin, so I would have enjoyed it a lot more and also just to wish that these venues were a little bit closer together. I do feel that when you have the what do you call it, the venues like spread out, it just kind of made it difficult to walk in the heat. It just felt like hours instead of just like the two minute walk, it was that combined with I felt like day three just didn't have that many events going on and a lot of people flew out that Sunday itself. So as a result, it felt very dead and just unnecessary to stick around for that day. But yeah.

Yeah, I enjoyed consensus. super high quality events overall, I think the the huge benefit is having so many different ecosystems together in one room. So there's tons of different tracks all within walking distance of each other. A big enough space where you'll meet people from different ecosystems, really just bring together a lot of different minds together. I would say in terms of quality, definitely a higher bar than some of the other conferences I've been to. So to I've done recommend.

Great event, focus on core technology
What did you like best about the event?
High-calibre attendees that know the industry well. Less shilling on wrong projects and more focus on tech that will move the needle.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Hard to know which stages will have the best content. Lots of things going on at once, and I felt like I missed a lot of stuff.

The team was very organized and transparent in all pre-production, and finding my way on-site was super easy. We had a very engaging set of people on our panel and a very thoughtful and prepared moderator. This led to some fruitful and honest conversations, and we even pulled a few laughs from the crowd ;).
What did you like best about the event?
The breadth of people attending and their openness to interact and engage with each other. I saw plenty of familiar faces but also met plenty of new ones with in-depth real conversation and connection. The positive and supportive energy was palpable - I even had three different people stop me on the street hours after our panel to give compliments.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
More giant blocks of hotel reservations; otherwise, it was pretty well done. I also wouldn't mind if the main stage were off the floor, in a more closed but spacious room.

The networking and panels were all high-level; it was a very informative event.

What did you like best about the event?
I liked the addition of the Protocol Village. It helps build the bridge between the builders and the business/policy parts of the conference.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
More consistency with the schedules in the stages. There would be a solid 90 minutes of multiple speakers, then a quarter to a half hour, or an hour, or ??? Also, inconsistent times across stages means I have to decide if I see the last 5 minutes of one presentation or the start of the next one I'm interested in on the next stage.

Overall good; just some hiccups with location and loud music that affected my personal experience, but I'm sure it was suitable for everyone else.
What did you like best about the event?
I enjoyed the meetups as we had a goal to do lots of networking, so I found it very productive.
What could the organizers do to improve the event?
Hosts should be more mindful of the music playing during the networking events because I ended up losing my voice 2 days in because I had to talk over loud music and other people talking. They can be more proactive in splitting some people up to quieter areas to lower the overall volume of the room so people can actually do some networking.

My favourite session was the Canadian meetup hosted by Consensus.
