Great event!

What did you like best about the event?

Amazing atmosphere, a really good range of exhibitors, anything and everything renewables.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

Checking in was slow, toilets were difficult to find, the app worked great, and seminars weren’t announced over Tannoy.

I enjoyed the event as it provided an opportunity to speak to others in the industry.

What did you like best about the event?

The venue and the conference agenda with a diverse lineup of speakers. It gave me an opportunity to speak to several visitors to our stand.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

The conference theatres need some acoustic isolation from the rest of the hall. It is noisy at points, and difficult to hear the speakers.

Well organized panel with a balanced set of speakers

What did you like best about the event?

Panel discussions were generally good and interesting, covering many different topics.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

Panel discussions were not staggered well during the day, and there were often periods with multiple interesting sessions happening at the same time and other periods without anything interesting happening.

Great for learning and networking

What did you like best about the event?

This year, there was a wide choice of discussion topics/presentations and more exhibitors.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

Some of the theatre tech/setups could be improved; speakers could not hear questions from the audience (no back speaker), and in the smaller theatres, the speakers were seated at the same level as the audience, so they could not be seen by much of the audience - one viewer made this point to me.

What did you like best about the event?

Good speakers, good program, excellent organization: it all ran like clockwork, very professional.

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

It is a very boomy hall, and a lot of the paying exhibitors are very alike (solar and battery providers from East Asia).

The time and effort was really worth it.

What did you like best about the event?

The atmosphere felt energized and positive. It made conversations flow easily and in a different way than other types of relationships (Zoom, telephone, office, etc).

What could the organizers do to improve the event?

When registering, we entered details into an app, and then our name lanyards had QR codes to exchange details. The problem is that the majority of delegates did not complete their profiles, so it took some detective work to track people down and reconnect. The app is searchable, so I guess people avoided their info being harvested and then getting spammed. If I had known that ahead, I would have taken more time to write down names and email addresses. Maybe this could have been communicated better during sign-up. Either make a contact method a mandatory field (even a main office reception number) or tell us that most don't fill their details in.
